free credit score in canada? why is it that americans can actually get their free credit score online, but canadians can't? i realize i can go to the equifax and transunion sites and request it by mail, but how unfair is that? i worked at a finance company for three years, and am completely aware of how long it takes to print someone's bureau - seconds. it's my credit bureau, and i want access to it now - not in three weeks!! why is it so difficult and time consuming for me to get a hold of my bureau??? not so much a question, more of a rant... sorry! just a little miffed right now...

Most want your credit card info and say it's a 30 day trial. like freecreditreport.com Then they want 29.95 to get all 3 reports. equifax ask for 14.95 what is the best and least expensive site, to get my credit score and report for all 3 buerues?
Is there a huge difference between a FICO credit score and the score given by the 3 credit bureaus? I've already gotten my free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com but now I'm looking to monitor my credit score periodically from all three bureaus. I know that FICO is probably the biggest credit score service is their number that much different than what I'd get from the credit score source that Equifax, Experian and TransUnion use? I just don't want to pay so much more for nothing. If FICO says my Experian credit score is 700 and I go to Experian.com and their service says my score is 692, I don't see the difference. Thanks.
How do I get my credit score? Okay previously I ordered my annual free credit report and there used to be an option to purchase your credit score. This year I didn't have that option. I went to equifax's website and you have to buy a whole program! I know when I did it, it cost around $7-8; anyone know how to get JUST my credit score (since I already have my annual report)
Which credit reporting company scores highest? I recently discovered that you can get one free credit report from each of the three companies for free each year. I got my TransUnion one and my credit score was 651. Is this any good? Also which of three agencies generally score you higher? Would Experian or Equifax be higher or lower than my 651 from TrasUnion?
What is the VERY BEST website to get a free credit report from ALL 3 credit bureaus? I am always having a hard time with Freecreditreport.com and others that give me either a FICO score and no report, or I get ONLY 1 report and then 2 months of $9.95 fees! Please help..I JUST want my report and FICO score from Equifax/Experian and TRW. Thanks in advance!
I have some questions about my credit rating.? It would be great if some finance professionals preferably UK could advise me! My questions are 1.will asking for my free 30 day equifax credit report affect my credit rating in any way? 2. I have just paid off my credit card. Should i keep it open and use it to 30% of its limit and pay it off each month to improve my score? 3. I am paying 2 collections agencies although on time with my payments. one nearly paid the other will take longer. How badly will this affect my score and is there a chance that if the collections agency is owned by the bank that it will be passed back to the bank? If so will this look better and does your credit improve if you are paying on time even though it is a collection agency? Lot of questions I know! Really appreciate it!! cheers!
How can I find out what my beacon score is? A credit report I have just received for free from Equifax does not show my beacon score. By the way, I live in Canada. THANKS.
Just got my mortgage but..? Hi there, I have just got mortgage and hopefully will be moving to my first house in couple of months. While I was applying for mortgage, I used a mortgage broker who didn't know the rules very well. His firts application was declined because I am not Britisih ( I have work permit in UK).Anyway he found another company how agreed to give the mortgage for high interest of course (5.70% for two years fixed and 6.74% for the term) Now my credit report is Fair (Score is 387 points at Equifax). But I am planning to get some stuff from DFS or Furniture Village with 3 year interest free credit. Do you think this credit scorte will cause any problem with these companies? I don't want to be embarrassed in front of the salesman if they refuse my application :) Thanks in advance. I have couple of credit cards total £6000 limit and 3 current accounts with total £4000 overdraft limit. this information might help you :)
Does anyone out there know if CreditReport.com is a trust worthy and legitimate sight? There address on their sight says they are located in Canoga Park Ca. They say the first 30 days of you're credit report from Equfax with credit score and monitoring of the three major credit bureaus for alerts on you're credit reports is free. Then after the 30 days it says it will be 11.95 a month charged to you're credit card. Would it be wiser to get it directly from equifax then to use CreditReport.com?
