How long to repair credit after a bankruptcy to qualify for a home mortgage? Please provide information about experiance or knowledge relating to the amount of time it takes to repair ones credit after a chapter 7 bankruptcy. All loans reaffrimed thru bankruptcy have always been on track and have remained current. Any info provided would be a great help. Thanks

How to repair credit in my case? Currently my credit score is very low as i did not make any payments since1999 and so on because of which 3 of my Credit Card companies charge off, reported loss or Cancel/Closed the accounts, and they in turn sold them to Collection companies who are reporting them every year to the credit bureau, by which my account looks so bad most recently they reported in December 2005, I know it's my mistake and i want to repair it, Some one told me that even if i repay the whole thing still it does not help me as the history of past 5to6 years still remains the same in you history is their any other way which helps me in repairing my credit, Please advice me a good solution.

How to repair credit to purchase a home in the near future? I have read through a lot of the questions that have already been asked but I have yet to find exactly what I am looking for. I have been slowly but surely paying off some of the items on my credit report, all of which are delinquent by several years. My current credit score according to Experian's Triple Advantage is a 548, and I would really like to increase my credit score by atleast one hundred points so I can purchase my first home in the very near future. I recently contacted a realtor who pulled my credit report and showed my high end credit as 614, mid of 610, and low of 598. I don't quite understand why none of these numbers match what I am showing on my active Triple Advantage account, but I was told to wait atleast six more months and try to apply for a home again. I was approved on this attempt, but for $25,000 less than what I need and the interest rate was 7.5%. If anyone has any advice or words of motivation for me I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks all!

Question on Loan to repair credit? my credit score is 580. I've been slowly repairing my credit. I'm 24 and messed it up when I was younger and didn't know any better then left it alone becuz I lost my job and couldn't handle the collection agnencies, etc. Anyway I was a kid then and now i'm trying to get it repaired. What I want to do is a debt consolitdation loan, so i can just make one payment instead of small various loans, my debt is split up with various collectors/debts but equal a bit less than 10k. It's just tough dealing with collectors, becuz i don't always have the money upfront and they want it all and it's hard to trust them. Anyway is there a place to get a loan? i've tried some banks, and credit unions but keep getting denied becuz my credit score is so low and the debts are on there and have been there for a few years; i just feel like i'm trapped between a rock and a hard place in order to get this fixed.

credit repair questions? hey all, We are trying to repair our credit for many years now. from our experience we have been sent letters back from credit companies telling us that our credit on there is valid and that they will not be changing it. My understanding is that they have to provide proof of this and yet that havnt. do those credit repair services work? do those credit repair services work. i have spoken to a few of them and they told me that they are able to get late satisfied payments off my credit report and the also told me that they are able to remove a bankruptcy off my report that is 8 years old. how do they work and what is desputing and item mean.
Credit Repair? Removing a bad record as a authorized user..? My friend was an authorized user (not joint) on his brothers credit card account. His brother ended up making late payments and then doing a settlement on this account. Unfortunately, the credit for my friend, the authorized user, was also affected. The settlement appears on 1 out of the 3 agencies...therefore, I wanted to know what is the best advice, or best letter to send to a credit reporting agency to get this issue resolved..... Can you repair your own bad credit? I have recently researched information on repairing bad credit after bankruptcy, etc. It appears that items, whether true or false can legally be disputed from yourself as frequent as every 30 days. And, unless the credit bureau agencies can provide valid proof (from the original creditors) within a 30 day period, they must remove the derogatory credit from your file. Although it can take 2 - 3 times of writing dispute letters to actually get a response, this seems very interesting. It also appears that the FCRA is really in the consumers favor, but not really advertised to us because the 3 major bureaus profit from our credit history. Any experience/advice on someone cleaning up their own bad credit (not through credit repair scams)?
Credit Repair Attorneys? "Credit Repair Attorneys" do they exist and how can i find one. I'm sick and tired of dealing with my credit report on my own. Recently I disputed some items and because Im in Texas my Equifax report is handled through something called CSS which just made things even more confusing, and then to top it off Trans Union did remove some of the items disputed but it turns out that they wiped my credit history completely even the good things. credit repair companies - deal or dud? My husband and I are considering having a credit repair company clean up our credit. I have been working in this myself for about a yr and have increased our score by 50-60 points for each of us. The problem is there are certain things that just won't come off. Of the 40 items on my credit report 37 are old medical and the other 3 are paid as requested which are home, car, and one credit card. Do I go ahead and try to repair the credit or file bankruptcy? Does the do-it-yourself credit repair kit from places like office supply stores really works? I am thinking about cleaning up my credit myself because I have heard that this can really happen . I do not want to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars just for someone else to do this. How can I repair my credit? I ruined my credit in college and as a result I have about $10,000 in debt. Most of the accounts are in collections, charge offs, or past due. The only thing positive on the report are my student loans and my car loan. I have heard of disputing the reports, but I also want to find a credit repair firm that will allow me to make payment arrangements. Best way to repair bad credit? Short of the obvious,is anyone fimiluar with working with a specific "bad credit" repair company. I have been told they can pretty much wipe your credit clean and find that very hard to believe. I have tax leins and a discharged bankruptcy on my report and was told they can wipe that out.Very doubtful i believe, and dont want to just start throwing money out to these people with no results. This is our plan to Repair our Credit to buy a Home....? We have really horrible credit. We have at least $8,000 in credit card debt alone. We also have medical bills, utilities from my husband's bachelor days, and insurance bills. All of these things haven't been paid in over 18 months. I want to know if those agencies are legal and if they really can repair your credit. Can you repair your own bad credit? I have recently researched information on repairing bad credit after bankruptcy, etc. It appears that items, whether true or false can legally be disputed from yourself as frequent as every 30 days. And, unless the credit bureau agencies can provide valid proof (from the original creditors) within a 30 day period, they must remove the derogatory credit from your file. Although it can take 2 - 3 times of writing dispute letters to actually get a response, this seems very interesting. It also appears that the FCRA is really in the consumers favor, but not really advertised to us because the 3 major bureaus profit from our credit history. credit repair companies - deal or dud? My husband and I are considering having a credit repair company clean up our credit. I have been working in this myself for about a yr and have increased our score by 50-60 points for each of us. The problem is there are certain things that just won't come off. Credit file and credit score repair.? I have recently checked my credit file with all three agencies. There are two negative records on it from couple years ago. Two files were turned to different collection agencies ($600.00 and $300.00). Both files are legitimate and I am not in position to dispute those. None of collection agencies contacted me yet. If I let my truck go back to the lender as a repossession, how many points would that take off my credit score I'm trying to repair my credit score, and my by the time I am done paying for my truck it will be worthless.
