how do i get my credit history? how do i get my credit score off the internet without having a credit card>?
i find a lot of free credit report companys on the internet but when you try to actually see it they require a credit card number to get any further with the process. as i dont have one... which makes it hard to find out why i cant get one because i cant see my damn report. as far as my history i mean how do i find out who i owe? obviously i would need a way that doesnt require a credit card. thanx for your time and help

- In many states, if you apply for credit and get denied, you're entitled to a free copy of your credit report. Look into it, you may qualify.
- Annualcreditreport.com was initially set up by the government, because they just started requiring each of the 3 credit bureaus to allow you to access your credit report for free once a year. If you go to annualcreditreport.com it will never ask you for your credit card to give you your credit history. However they do offer you your credit score, but you have to pay for that. There is no place that you can get your credit score for free.
- apply for a credit card. when they turn you down you have a right to contact the credit bureau and request a free copy of your credit report. on the internet they want a c redit card...or a debit card
- Listen to Fuzzy! Last year the government began forcing credit card agencies to give out free credit reports (not credit scores though...). Go to www.annualcreditreport.com to get it. Be prepared to print it out. Once you have it, examine it carefully for errors, or anything questionable. Use the links below. One has a nice collection of letter templates that you can use to write to the agencies to correct your report. The others give you information on how to clean up your reports.
