credit report - how to get rid of the bad history..?
I was able to see my credit reports from all three major agencies... and i found out that while I was out of the country for three years, the credit card which i thought had no balance due, actually had 25 dollars of balance.. however, that credit card account was closed... leaving a bad history on my credit history.... is there anyway to get rid of this bad history from my credit report ? fortunately , only one agency out of three had this record..... (credit union)... actually, only transunion had that record (equifax, and experian had no that record..)

- write to the credit agency, and explain what happened, you may have to send the credit union the 25 bucks, they will either reopen an account for you or send you a statement paid in full, which you will copy and send that into the credit agency.
- dispute it. if it could have been zero....dispute that you've ever been past due with each credit bureau it's listed with ... cbr's have a set amt of time to validate what you say and the credit card co has to prove it's been on there late and get that proof back to the credit bureaus or it must be removed! would be gone in like 30 days at the max!

- Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution. I will hereby talk from my personal experience. - if you really want to get rid of your credit is to file bank rupcy than start all over but this time make sure you keep up with your bills good luck
- you need to pay it off do not make payments to the agency just completely pay it all off at once then that way it is cleared up, believe me i have been there
