what is the fastest way to improve my credit score?

Public Comments

  1. pay your bills.
  2. I don't know if it's the fastest, but it's one of the easiest. Some of the things that credit cards accounts report for each month are: "paid in full", "not paid", "pain minimum", and "paid more than minimum". Pay them a extra $1.00 so that it's not "paid minimum".
  3. Do not use the cad.
  4. Pay bills on time and reduce the balance to available credit ratio on credit cards.
  5. There is no fast way to improve your credit score. If you have a debt that was charged off, work with that company to get it taken care of and see if they can remove it from your credit score. If your credit score is low b/c of paying bills slow, or because of paying a loan late there is no quick fix. These just need to be paid on time and eventually your credit score will get better.
  6. If the is inaccurate information on your credit report, file a dispute. If there is not, there is no 'fast' way to improve your score. The score is designed to show a history of good credit use. By definition, that takes time.
