would you give your credit card number out on the internet?
We have never had a computer until last week. My daughter (28) went to a site to find out her credit card score. they named all 3 places that they check, experion etc, but thier name is credit card services and I'm scared maybe thier fake. She gave her number and they said her credit score is 726, yet she knew she has bad credit. What's up, is she scammed??

- It is much safer than giving it to the waiter in a restaurant who takes it to the back and does whatever he wants, if you buy something online and give your credit card number, the company you bought something from is responsible, but in your case , I dunno , I wouldn't do it.
- Don't give your credit card to anyone that you wouldn't trust in person. E.g. if you go to The Gap store in the mall and trust them in person, then you should feel safe trusting their web-site. On the other hand, it sounds like your daughter went to a site that you had never heard of - I would avoid giving out my card to such "no-name" internet based companies.
- I would NEVER give out account information over the internet, especially to an unfamiliar business/person. There is no need for this info to run your credit check! Call your creditor immediately and report the incident. They will likely assist you with additional info on how to protect against identity theft.

- Look, first of all you needn't give out credit card number to get credit scores of credit report. It's availbale for free on the interenet and also you may request directly from the creidt bureaus. And let me tell you that if your daughter has got a score of 726,its wonderful becuase she has an excellent credit.I'm a loan officer myself and a person having a score of 726-I can qualify her for any kind of loan she wants.
