
if i check my credit rating and score from true credit service does it effect my credit score?

- No. However, you are entitled to three FREE credit reports a year, each from Experian, TransUnion and Equifax, so I would take advantage of these services first.
- I heard that the more you check, the lower it gets. So, If you will not use it in the very near future after you check, let it be for a while, anyway, you can always check and calculate according to your performance if your score will be high or low enough to be able to be approved for a loan. And don't pay off any credit you have also, just do your monthly payment if you want to have a good ratings.
- No. This is what called a soft pull and doe's not reduce your score. Only hard pulls like when you apply for a credit card, car loan, home loan or personal loan reduces your score. Even then, the system is designed to know if you are looking to finance a car or home and lumps the inquiries together and only counts them as one pull. They all show on your credit, but you are only penalized once.
