Does opening a credit card account in the name of my company affect my personal credit rating (FICO score)?
I am considering opening a business line of credit with a major credit card company but I am not sure if it will adversly affect my personal credit rating (which is excellent).

- No. It affects the Credit of your Corporation.
- Look very closely at your credit application. An overwhelming number of these have contract language stating that your company and you (both) are responsible for the charges. If you have to give your SS number, you can bet your credit information will be checked (not just your corp).
- Opening a line of credit for either personal or business use will not affect your credit unless you fail to pay. If the social security number is run, it will show up as an inquiry on your credit report, but that will have almost no impact on your credit score. I recently opened a line of credit, my score went down like 5 points for the inquiry one month and went back up the following month.
- The credit rating is used by the lender or investor to assess the risk of lending or investing money to the individual or the business.Credit ratings are usually calculated using the financial history of the person and also current assets and liabilities.Want more information???plz check http://www.acreditlibrary.com/creditrating.html
