  1. Freecreditreport.com
  2. creditreport.com claims to have a free credit score report online, but you have to register. And No, you are not penalized when you check your own credit score, only when someone else does.,
  3. There is only one site that is sponsored by all three credit bureaus and it is free annually. http://www.annualcreditreport.com All other sites make you sign up for credit monitoring service. There is an extra charge for the credit score but the credit reports are absolutely free. Checking your own credit report or score does not effect it. The only thing that has an effect is a credit check that you have initiated by applying for a loan. *
  4. Not many websites allow you to look at your credit score for free. So be ready to fork up anywhere from $12-$45 depending on how in depth you want the information to be. Most "free" credit report websites require you to sign up for a credit monitoring service which will cost you a monthly fee to "watch" what's happening to your credit on a monthly or quarterly basis. If you want a one-time look, you can go to the credit bureau's websites directly and pay for a credit report. The major one's are: http://www.experian.com/ http://www.transunion.com/ http://www.equifax.com/home/ You can also try places that offer you all three for a slightly higher price like; http://www.myfico.com/ http://www.truecredit.com/ This one claims you get one free credit report a year but I don't know what all it entails and if it gives you all three scores: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp Hope this helps. ~jaz~ p.s. Usually you get 1 point deducted for checking your credit report if memory serves me well, but 1 point is really no big deal since this is a way to determine if there are any wrong information which you can correct and in turn raise your score.
  5. You can go to annualcreditreport.com and get a report from the 3- Transunion, Equifax and Experian. You are legally able to get one free credit report a year from each company. Checking your own credit won't go against you- having companies check it when you are applying for a loan or what ever will lower your score.
  6. I found interesting information about Credit Reports & options here. http://all-debt-consolidation-loan.blogspot.com/2007/08/credit-reports.html
