is there any place online where you can really see your credit score for free without having to sign up for a service?

1. Sorry but no there isn't. That's how the credit reporting agencies make money. If you want to see the real score a creditor will see they only place to get that is at MyFICO.com.
2. No there is not a place to see the score for free, but you can see all 3 credit reports for free one time per year without having to sign up or subscribe to anything.
