How do I find out my credit score for free?
I've gone to a bunch of sites that promise free scores, but then i find out that it's only after you sign up for a paid service! Any credit report websites that are legitimate and actually free? Thanks!!

- Actually the free one is through https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp That is the one the federal government set up. The other one is a 'trial membership' with an automatic renewal. All others can require a credit card.
- a law was passed last year that entitles you to a free copy of your credit report from EACH of the 3 credit bureaus once per year. go to annualcreditreport.com
- Unfortunately there is nowhere you can get all 3 FICO scores for free. The only score a lender uses is a FICO score. All of the other scores are worthless because they are only "estimates". If you read the fine print at ALL of the 3 bureaus and they say not to confuse their "Fake" score with a FICO score that lenders use. www.myfico.com offers score watch free for 30 days but it only covers Equifax. If you want all 3 credit bureau FICO scores you will have to pay $44.85 at www.myfico.com. Good Luck
