1. www.freecreditreport.com they only charge you to print it out but you can view it once for free... you can also write the companies and they will send them to you... 1 free a year.
2. http://www.annualcreditreport.com is a free report, I'm not sure about score though.
3. these places they are telling you to go to will not get you a score. it will only get your credit information. best thing to do to get free score, is go apply for a car and they can pull your credit RIGHT there for free. they will also let you look at it, but you can't keep it. but you'll know your score. and don't buy anything.
4. annualcreditreport.com is the best site as the previous said. But the reason why is you can split up a free credit report 3 times a year, every 4 months as long as you use only one of the credit reporting agencies at a time. So in April you could have used Transunion, then anytime from May 1st through August 30 you could use Experian & in the final 4 months you could use Equifax.
