  1. check out www.freecreditreport.com. You'll get it there.
  2. try applying for a cell phone at cellular one, they can tell you what your score is, but keep in mind the more you check it that way the more points that come off of your score. it is ok to do it once maybe ever few years but i would not do it more than that. i dont know how much it takes off but it does EDIT: also, I wouldnt try that www.freecreditreport.com because if it was free, they would not be asking for your credit card!!!!!! EDIT: also a good way to get credit is a credit card, the people who approved me when I turned 18 was capital one, they are awesome
  3. If you don't have a credit card, you don't have credit. Get a credit card to establish credit (you need to use it btw). Once you get it, you will have "young credit" which equates to bad credit. Pay it off regularly and in a year or two you should have good credit. I don't know of any truly free credit score services.
  4. Check: www.freecreditreport.com You get one free check a year from Experian which is one of the 3 major credit monitoring agencies. If you want the other 3 you will have to pay for them.
  5. if you don't have a credit history like credit cards, loans etc then you don't have a score. anyway try privacymatters.com
  6. You are allowed one free credit score check per the three credit reporting agencies. You can check it out at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/freereports.shtm Don't go to free credit report dot com, as it it NOT free. You have to sign up to get your reports free. The link I gave you is through the FTC (government) and is totally free with no strings attached. Hope this helps.
  7. Hmm, do you even have a credit score. You have to buy stuff on credit with a credit card, buy a car on credit or some such. You should start off by getting a credit card at your bank, like a Visa, Master Card or such and use it, but pay off the balance at the end of every month. If you make a larger purchase and can't pay off the whole thing, make sure you make your payments before the due date--never, never, never late. Then you will have a great credit score. I don't know where you can get a free credit score, to answer your question.
  8. at 18 you really dont have any credit ... unless you have a car or loans house apartment student loans
  9. You can go to annualcreditreport.com to get a free credit report from the three major databases of credit Transunion, Equifax and Experian,( which you are allowed to do once per year, for free. More often will cost you) but that still doesn't get you a "free" credit score rating. I still had to pay $15 to find out my credit score.
  10. If you are specifically asking for your FICO 500-850 credit point score rather than a free credit report (these are not the same!), you can try asking for it off the record from someone you tried to get credit with such as an auto dealer or a bank. I can personally attest that this can work if you are discreet. Otherwise you will have to pay a modest fee to get it. The FICO score is normally bundled with a credit report if you pay an annual fee to subscribe to a credit watch plan from one of the major providers such as Experian.
  11. Make sure that you go to freeannualcreditreport.com If you go to freecreditreport.com .... You will have to commit to credit monitoring, and after the first month there is a fee for that. (They will tell you that all you have to do is cancel ...) But the free ANNUAL credit report is the one that is TOTALLY free no strings attached! I am assuming that if you have NOT purchased anything on credit any ... You probably will not have much of a score. But it is VERY good that you are concerned!
  12. You don't need a credit score and you certainly don't need debt. Pay cash. Amazingly, this works. Just drill through all the posted questions about "I have bad credit - I need to borrow 5,000 and I'm desperate". How do you suppose these people got so desperate? It's because they got into something of which they had no understanding. It's easy to get trapped, wrapped up in loads of debt and end up broke, bankrupt and perpetually poor. You are young, learn from their stupid mistakes. Stay out of debt. Pay cash. If you don't have the cash, save up to buy the things you NEED, not necessarily want.
  13. You are allowed a free credit report every year from the three credit reporting companies. www.freecreditreport.com and you can get all of them at once.
