- you can get free credit report from annual credit report .com
- https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp but you got to pay to see your score
- You are allowed one free credit report each year from each of the 3 major credit reporting services. You can get them at the link below.
- As far as I know, you can't get a free credit SCORE. It may be possible that some places offer it as a promotion to get your interest in whatever else they're selling. When you apply for a loan, your bank may provide you with some type of credit score, but it may or may not be your FICO score. (A lot of banks use your FICO score and some other factors to come up with their own proprietary score.) If you do buy your credit score, you want your FICO score - not something else that another company has made up. For your free credit reports: AnnualCreditReport.com Make sure you go to this site - there are many misspellings and similar sites that are not the government mandated free site. The imitation sites range from shady to outright illegal. You get 1 report a year from Equifax, Transunion and Experian. I would recommend getting one report every four months as a way to monitor your credit. Additionally if you are denied credit because of your credit score, you are entitled to a free report from each company (but I am not sure you can do that online.)
