Will initiating a credit dispute remove the said item from my record temporarily?
When I initiate a credit dispute against a fraudulent item, will that item be temporarily removed during the investigative process?

- I am not sure what you mean by "removed" but if you have a fradulent item on one of your credit cards and you contact the credit card issuer and file a claim you will not be responsible for those charges or interest on those charges while they are under investigation. If it is found you did make the purchases then you will have to pay the bill. If it really is fraud it will be completely removed from the bill.
- no, it will not be removed during investigation. However, if the investigation is concluded in your favor, it will be removed permanantly from your credit report.
- It will not be removed from your credit record, but it will be marked as under dispute. If the dispute goes your way, then it will be removed. Because different creditors sometimes report to only one or two of the major credit bureaus, you must order your credit report from all three to know exactly how many accounts have been fraudulently opened in your name, and which companies have placed inquiries on your report and why.
- Perhaps but to get it off permanently you need credit repair. . Usually companies charge hundreds of dollars to simply pull your credit and send correctly worded dispute letters—this is the key…..people will tell you that you can do this yourself for free but the truth of the matter is that the credit bureaus will throw your letters away or simply reject them. There is an easy to use online kit that will deliver the results you want available for just $19.95 at the source website. A similar kit is being sold via infomercials and radio talk shows for seventy dollars more but they try to solicit you repeatedly for other services after the fact.
