Has anybody used "Dispute Letters" to remove bad debts from Credit Report?
I really want to get rid of my bad debts and I'm studying how to do so by sending the 3 major credit bureaus dispute letters. Has anyone tried this technique? Does it work? What other techniques are there?

- YES this is the best way and it is VERY easy to do. Your letter should include your name, address, and SSN. You need to list all the accounts you are disputing (you can do them all on one letter) alond witht he account numbers from your credit report. Then you need to put a reason for each (I usually put "innacurrate info" but EXPN sometimes asks me to specify). Your letter does not have to be fancy - it just has to be legible. Mail your dispute to the three bureaus and watch your mail for a response. You should get an acknowledgment letter in a week or so and a results letter with a copy of your credit report in 4-5 weeks. - YES, YES, AND YES. Dispute letters definitely work. I used them 3 years ago to clear my credit to buy a home. It took about 2 months to clear 11 items off my credit report. I actually bought the program on the web. It was an ebook. I downloaded and fortunately I printed it out. It's about 175 pages long. My computer crashed and I lost the document. I have been told I could find it, but I need to know someone who knows how to do it. However, the dispute letters are Fantastic. If you're interested, email me.
