If I dispute something on my equifax credit report do I have to do the same with experian, and transunion?

- Only if it is also reporting through the other two bureaus. I found it effective when I disputed some things on their websites to also write letters. Good Luck
- The item being disputed has to show up on your credit report before you can dispute it. Some creditors report to all 3 bureaus and some report to just one. Watch your credit report from all 3 and if it shows up, dispute it with all 3.
- If it showing up on the other 2 , yes , you should dispute it....Not all companies report to all...
- While they claim not? lol trust me *Recovering victim of indentity theft here ( 18 counts) You will need to keep record of each and every doc sent to the mighty 3.. I did learn the difficult way that all 3 do their own reporting and that if you start with one C.R.A. and do have somthing removed? it wil be easier than trying all 3 at same time the reason? simple they ask each other and the creditor(s) So if you get it removed by one CRA thn follow up with the other 2 1 at a time, because if you get it removed by one the creditor will likly grant removal by the others when asked as its already been cleared and the other 2 CRA`s will follow suit, it is howsver a time consuming and often frustrating undertaking< been there done that...Well best of luck~
- It really depends on if it is on experian and transunion. Not all information is the same on the 3 credit reports. What maybe on equifax may not be on transunion or experian. You will have to get the report and see and if it is then you dispute it.
- Only if the disputed items are listed on the other 2 major credit reporting agencies. There is no need to dispute it if it is not being reported. Hope this was helpful and good luck.
- yes because these are 3 seperate entitys...and if your dispute is on all of these then you needs to get it fixed with each one seperately
- I recently paid off all of my debt and my credit score increased within a few weeks by 119 points. I disputed all the information on line Thur freecreditreport.com, Experian, and when I went to look at my other credit reports, Transunion and Equifax they were all updated but unfortunately I found two inaccurate judgments on my CR and Transunion was fully updated with the highest score of all three. So I am assuming that it is up to the companies to update all three credit bureaus, you can always make sure to contact the companies you paid and have them report to all three bureaus. Good luck!
