need credit advice?

two months ago I paid off everything on my credit report. My exp and equifax have both jumped up almost 100 points. however, My transunion report still shows all the debt. I sent a copy of the payments, and the letter from the company who has all of these accounts showing they were paid to transunion disputing them. By the way they were all medical, I called the collection agency, and they said my wife had a bill however it was before we were married. They said that if i didn't pay it they wouldn't mark everything paid. Transunion did there dispute and didn't remove anything. What are my legal recourses, I have the letter with every account showing paid from them. The best part is they waited till after I paid everything to do this to me. Also one more quick thing.... I also have a bank of america showing derogatory, but it wasn't my account. BOA says its not I did a dispute, and now it shows paid but derogatory how do I proceed with this. Thanks in advance for your inpute.

  1. I would go to the better business burrow website and report what happened the will look into it in with in three days and if the company is in the wrong they will get it corrected for you. I used it and it is a very easy process and they explain their reasoning for or against your complaint. Good Luck
  2. thats the funny thang about them medical reporters they can send a bad report on ya but they never can seem to remove yer report. most creditors dont look at the medical bills unless its for a house mortgage and then thats if the applicant is older. medical bills dont mean jack shite because it cost 100 bucks for a box of tissue in a hospital
  3. TU has a dispute resolution department which can handle escalated issues like this. Good luck.
  4. This is easy. You send a letter to the companies that still show bad credit. You state in your letter your case then end it with, "By reporting this mis-information, you are in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act as well as the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act. I expect this issue to be resolved immediately or I will be forced to pursue further course of action as allowed in the Fair Credit Reporting Act and local laws." Copy your letter to all 3 credit reporting companies (there actually about 5 but just copy the big ones). Copy the Better Business Burea and as well as the federal trade commission. They will take you seriously then and it will disappear.
