I had false record in my credit report (Macys for 2 yrs)Now only I found&called,they told they will update Credit report company they accepted i paid in july 2005. but I was having pbm in getting credit cards and other loans(Auto&Mortgage) for 2 years,I am totally upset because of this. Can i still dispute thro' transunion or experion? what else can i do. Right now when I try for other loan, I came to know about it. Please suggest me how to take action with them. How do i compensate my loss for 2 yrs. When I was trying to get mortgage, i was getting high APR, I left that idea at that time. So kindly suggest me , thanks in advance.

1. you can absolutely dispute discrepancies on your credit report. you need to file a fraud report on their website. you cannot get compensation for someone committing fraud, it just doesn't happen. fight to get it removed and move on with your life. once it's removed, then apply for your mortgage.
