Should I dispute AGAIN?

I recently have disputed an item (Lord & Taylor) on my credit reports - Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. The item was removed from both Equifax and TransUnion, BUT remained on Experian. I disupted the account as "not mine should be removed." Should I dispute this again knowing that the item was removed from 2 out of the 3? If so, how long should I wait? Also, is there any information out there regarding a judgement filed about 5 years ago when I was in college in another state and have no recollection of the suit. Any suggestions, comments, advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  1. well you can ask for how they obtained the proof. Most disputes don't ever get opened by Experian etc.. them self they are sent to a third party for validation. So ask how the debt was validated.I learned this by www.fixmyuglycredit.com you can send a email and ask the web master yourself about third parties opening your dispute letters.
  2. Yes you should stay on them. It typically takes about 60-90 days before those changes show on a credit report. At the very least there should be a statement attached to the account on the other credit agency stating it is being disputed. Again stay on top of it. On the judgment in another state on the credit report there should be a Judgment Number and where the judgment was filed, typically the County Recorders office. use those numbers and call the County Recorders office in that area. YOu can then call them and get a copy of the judgment so you know what it was.
