Where can I find forms to dispute items on my credit report?

Public Comments

  1. You don't have to have a form. You can write a letter which they are required to place in your report.
  2. Go to the credit reporting company that has the disputed item(s). They will have a link that says something to the effect of "something not right on your report? Click here to find out how to fix it" or dispute credit report here. They will provide a form that you fill out and send to the reporting agency. Or you could call the credit reporting agency and dispute it over the phone. It's faster through the phone. I am sure they also have an e-mail feature, also. I know Equifax, Experian and Transunion are the three biggest agencies.
  3. You can either do it by phone, internet, or by phone. I personally prefer to use the mail because I have a "paper trail" and easy to verify. Especially if it's by certified mail. Below is a link to some letter templates you can use, and a few other usefull sites.
  4. I have gotten 1000 percent better results by subscribing to their "watchdog" services and disputing online, and following up VIA phone. Here are the adresses for all 3. They charge 9 bucks a month, but I promise you, Ive helped 100+ people clean their credit, and have gotten ALOT better response via their services. www.truecredit.com ( trans union ) www.equifax.com ( equifax ) www.creditexpert.com ( experian )
