credit card dispute?
i made an online purchase nearly a month ago and my item hasnt arrived. I've emailed the co. & no response back. so i assume this co. doesnt existence anymore or is some kinda scam. i called my CC co. to dispute the charge & they sent me a form to fill out. The thing is under "type of dispute" it says "unrecognized charge" which is UNtrue, i made the purchase, this co. just doesnt exist or never sent my product. should i just say i didnt make the purchase & go with that; would that make it easier to get my money back?

- Ne honest with your credit card company. if they find our that you are lying they may suspect you of other things such as really receiving the merchandise. Ask for a temporary credit for the amount of the purchase if you have not already received it. it will not only simplify the bookkeeping on your bill but youwill have that amunt of money available to you. Call the credit cardcom pany and ask them waht exactly they mean by unrecognized charge". You may be surprised by the answer.
- Is there not a wirte in area where you can explain or write "other". Do not lie just leave it blank before lying.
- Typically, the moment you file a dispute over a charge on your statement, the money you paid to the offending company is immediately returned to you pending their investigation. If the offending company can provide proof that they shipped your item, and can provide proof that you received the item, the money will again be deducted from your account and given back to the company. Dont tell them you didnt make the purchase. That's called fraud. If the card company put "unrecognized charge" on the dispute, you should call them to clarify the situation--that you paid for an item that was never shipped.
