In general, what is the average credit score needed to rent an apartment?
I'm looking into renting my first apartment and my credit scores differ from each bureau. Which do they check the most, and is a 629 enough to qualify?

- I don't think that landlords look at credit scores. They only look for late payments and judgments.
- It's my understanding that they don't look at scores but to see if you've been evicted in past and/or have judgements or liens against you.
- Credit score is only important if your income is really bad, or you have no money to put down for deposit. Stready income, an upfront security deposit-- and 2 months rent gets you in the 9 out 10 times.
