- You can fix it yourself. Go to half-price books and browse the stacks. Good luck.
- there is people that could fix your credit. its kind of expensive. 1,400 i think.. i haven't heard of any company, but most of the time people that "help " you fix your credit are crooked and end up stealing a lot of our money .
- I used the source site. They offer a do it yourself kit. I was able to remove paid collections, a couple collections , and 30 day lates from my report. I did most of it myself which gave me a sense of accomplishment but only paid the site 19.95 which really made me feel good.
- Beware of companies that promise to help you re-establish your credit for a fee. Their ability to change the information that appears in your credit file is no different than anyone else! Only your creditors are able to alter this information. Therefore you do not need to pay a third party to obtain, discuss, review or make changes to your credit report. You have the right to access your information and make changes to your file if there is an inaccuracy or if you want to include a comment. Remember this when it comes to hiring a credit repair company A credit bureau will not remove accurate negative information from your credit report before the legal time period has expired. Therefore, do not believe anyone who claims they can get negative information removed from your credit report faster than is legally required. There are no "loopholes" or laws that credit repair companies can use to get correct information off your credit report. No credit repair company can do anything you can't do for yourself. It is impossible for a third party to make changes in your file if the facts have been correctly reported. There are individuals and companies that claim they can fix a bad credit file. This is not the case. If a file includes accurate, yet negative information about your credit history, this information cannot be changed. Information will only be changed when your file contains an inaccuracy. The only way to rectify a poor credit rating is to adopt sound credit practices for a period of time.
- You do it yourself. You don't need to ask for credit repair companies. Be warned, because others are only after our money.
- I tried a few credit repair places and two disappeared with my money. So now I have just gone to a different method of getting credit by using aged corporations with seasoned tradelines. I bought a corporation with credit and a paydex score of 87 that got me a new BMW and a house purchase - all in the corporations name without a credit check or personal guarantee. www.agedcorps.net www.aged-corporations.com www.credit-debt-money-register .info (remove extra space after register)
- The Federal Trade Commission site spells it all out for you without having to spend a dime on a private company. Here is a link to their Self Help Credit Repair page, including a sample creditor dispute letter: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/repair.shtm
