  1. It takes knowledge and about 45 days
  2. I know that writing checks helps build up credit. Also getting loans and then paying them back. If you get another credit card, then when you charge something to it, pay it off in little but decent amounts.
  3. You need to start small. Get a low limit credit card & tell the credit card company to keep the limit the same. Put something on the card and pay it off immediately. Don't have the card pressed to the limit for too long because that negatively affects your credit. Writing checks from your personal checking account doesn't do anything for your credit, as long as you aren't bouncing them. It does take some time tho, because in the eyes of the creditors you are still a high risk customer. Good Luck.
  4. There is no "method" or "program" to repair your credit. You do it yourself by using credit more wisely. Open a new account, pay it on time and keep the balance low. If you have to, get a secured credit card. Keep it up. Consistency is the thing. Don't overdo it; only two or three accounts is plenty. It will take time, but by the time you have a more respectable track record, the negative items on your credit report will be gone.
  5. Dont listen to Sloppy Burge up there, he couldnt be more wrong. Start with small accounts such as credit cards and pay the intire balance off every month. Also dont get your limit over %40. Keep ablances low or keep just alittle on it. Also accounts over 24 months old shoudl be ignored. It can take up to 1-2 years to rebuild any type of credit.
