applying for a credit card is this a good score 716?

i am applying for a credit card i am 34 with a credit score of 716 how good is this score to apply for a card?

  1. yes it is the highest you can get i think is 850 or 830 so your score is pretty good.
  2. yes, you are at or very close to the bottom edge of the 'excellent' credit level; there are, of course extenuating circumstances such as how many accounts you have now and how much of a balance you hold on them
  3. 716 is a good score, but which credit reporting agency do you have the score with? 716 on Experian will get you approved for several American Express cards if you have absolutely NO bankruptcies in the past. American Express has instant approvals on their website and they seem to use Experian as their source for credit scores. If you do apply for an American Express Clear, Blue Cash, Green, Gold and not get an instant approval, apply immediately for their Gold Delta Sky miles. And/or apply for HiltonHonors while you are there on the AMEX website. American Express will only 'ding' you once for multiple inquiries in one day from them on your credit score. (5 points or so). Finally, go to financeglobe.net for matching scores and credit cards.
  4. You have a good credit score. You shouldnt have any problems getting approved for a credit card.
