Are theese credit repair companies worth the money?
Public Comments
- not really
- No. They do nothing you can't do yourself for FREE. Check out DaveRamsey.com, he's a bit "christiany" but he's one of the 'good' christians & seems a very genuine person.
- Some yes, some no. What some do is have you pay them instead of the bills. They then hold ALL of your payment and stop paying your bills until they are able to negotiate a lowered payoff for one of the bills. They then pay it off, then start the proccess all over again. I am not a fan of credit, but this will ruin your credit and have a lot of creditors calling you because they are not recieving any payments at all.
- In a word, NO. They range from outright frauds--companies that don't do anything except perhaps lend you more money--to places that charge you big fees in order to do the same thing that other organizations will do for free. If you have messed up your credit, go to a NON-PROFIT credit counseling service. The main thing is that it should be run by a government agency or a group of lenders--it should *not* be any place that charges you a big fee. If you can't find one in your phone book, your creditors may be able to refer you. Good luck. You deserve a lot of praise for trying to work out your problems without bankruptcy. Just stay away from these phonies.
- No.There are credit repair companies that you dont have to pay for services.Look in the yellow pages and call around.Call the credit card companies directly and ask for a lower payment schedule..or a lower interest rate.be honest and nice with them.keep trying and going up the ladder if you get a no at the first desk.
- give this one a try they have a credit repair kit if you don't like get they will give you a refund can not lose http://www.wesayes.com
- As the other posters have already stated, most credit repair companies may leave you in worse shape than you are now. Learn how to repair your own credit. Don't pay for credit repair information that you can get for free. Check out the site that I've listed. There is not only a massive amount of credit repair info on that site, but also a huge member support base - which is totally free to use.
- Plenty of good advice here.
- Big subject. Non profit may be able to help best, if they are a genuine not for profit organisation. Many aren't.
- NO, CHECK OUT www.jicinvestments.com FOR MORE INFO. IT REALLY WORKS.
