Has anyone used a Credit Repair/Restoration Company?

I was referred to a Credit Restoration Company and they sounded pretty honest. However, I wanted to know if anyone else has had any experience with a Credit Repair Company or any advice on finding the best one. What kind of results did you get? Were they permanent? I know self credit repair is the best however I don't have the time or know much about the whole Credit/Credit Bureau process or Laws.

  1. I would strongly suggest you not do this. I know you say you don't have time, but you can get letter templates to use and it won't take that much time. Credit repair companies are a rip-off. They do exactly what you would do on your own except they charge you a lot for it. Keep your money and read www.creditboards.com forums to learn what to do. You should also read the FCRA and the FDCPA to learn your rights as a consumer. Good luck! pf101
