- it will take time for score to go up like 6 to a year
- the fastest way to improve your credit score is to make high charges on your credit card, and then pay MOST of it off. The biggest irony of credit scores is that the people with the best credit scores will always have some debt that they are paying interest on. People with no debt may not have great scores always. So charge up as much as you can and then pay 90% of it off every month. Sure you may a few extra bucks in interest, but it will be the fastest way to a higher score.
- Pay off your credit card and then start paying in-full and on time. How old are your bills? You may or may not see much of an improvement. If you can manage to get your creditors to agree to a "pay for deletion" arrangement (and get the agreement in writing from them) your score could rise significantly. Try to keep your credit utilization to 30% (30% of your credit limit during the month) or below. Again, I'd suggest paying off your credit card in-full and on time every month. This will save you money because you won't have to pay interest. Don't worry, your credit card company will still report your current balances, so as long as you're using your card often, you'll have another bill by the time you've paid off the last one.
- you need to have a minute amount due on any /all credit cards with no 30/60/90 days late you need a debt to cost of living ratio to be rightyou should have more credit than you have income I am not sure anymore what the percent is maybe 30% debt to 70% income and that is your total dept. you cannot have an abundance of requests on your credit report cause they do take off points for that also.
