Is there any easy way to raise your credit score 30pts to get a house?
I am trying to buy a home and my credit is not great, I can get a loan but I am afraid of the payments and percentage rate.

- yes - on your credit report where it lists your scores there are 4 "factors" or reasons why your score isn't higher. These are listed in order of the most to least important. You want to address these issues to get the biggest impact to your score. Typically there are at least one or two errors on a credit report and we can clear those up rather easily. More important for you are other factors like "proportion of balances to high credit too high" which basically means you have a maxed out card. This is usually easy to fix and get a nice boost in your credit score. The score model likes to see you with no more than 50% of the credit limit on your accounts being used - so if you have a maxed out card, then pay it down to 50% or even transfer part of the balance to an empty card to get better "ratios". Talk to a good, experienced mortgage broker before doing anything to make sure you don't hurry your score inadvertently.
