  1. Ensure that you have stable checking and savings accounts. Open up a credit card account at a major retailer that you shop often at. (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.) Everytime you shop, use the card. Always ensure that your bank accounts are in tip-top shape before doing this; one wrong move and you'll be in the negative. Good luck!
  2. There are several things that you can do. - You can start with a secured credit card. You can do that if you have a deposit with the issuing bank. If you don't you can easily open one. The credit limit will be a few hundred dollars but the card will allow you to build good credit history. Very often unsecured credit cards are reported to credit bureaus as normal and that works for your credit. - Ask a relative with good credit history to be your co-signer. Remeber, that your co-signer will be financially responsible so don't mess up your credit! - Open a joint account with a family member. Both of you will be using it and paying off the balance. - You can also apply for a card for no credit history http://www.bestcreditoffers.co.uk/Bad-No-Credit-Credit-Cards-1179723-page.php However, be prepared that the fees on these card will be pretty high because the banks can't trust you.
  3. Credit score depends on how you transact with card. Small steps like paying your bills on time and using only part of the credit available to you. Also, use your credit cards for making small payments regularly, so that it is reflected in your credit record.
