A Credit Score / Immigration Question?
My wife is coming to the USA from Canada in the next 5-6 Months and I was wondering if when she gets here and gets herself a new SS Number, will her Credit Score that exists in Canada become linked to the new SS number or will she be in essence a "Blank Slate". I just was wondering how it would work for American Credit Bureaus if anyone might know.

- nope. She will start clean in which she have to start a credit history.
- I believe that she would have to show her credit rating report from Canada before she will be considered for credit in the States.
- she would start with a new credit score she would eventually have to built her life and credit again.
- No. There is no way to transfer credit ratings. You can, however, request that lenders pull a Canadian report (if they are able).
