Credit Repair Help!?
I need to know of a good company to go to for credit repair help in the state of Oregon! My sister went through this lady who is some kind of financial consultant, and she did help her clean up her record but they are in another state. Does anyone know of where i could go from experience?

- Don't go to anybody to fix your credit. they are all scams. You can fix your own credit easily. Go to the 3 major credit bureus(sp) and you can usually dispute items on your credit. Even the ones you know are valid. If the company doen't respond or dispute your claim then its removed. You will have to pay the rest. Pay the small ones first. This will help with the moral victories. You CAN dispute any of them, even if they ARE yours. Doesn't mean they will get removed though. I have done this, so I know it is possible.
- Jatsfam was half right. The credit repair services are all scams. Not an honest one in the bunch as they all prey on those of you hoping to dig themselves out of credit reporting problems. I've been through two Bk's, and the only thing that will help is time and regularly paying your bills. If you check your credit reports, the only thing that you can challenge is accounts that never belonged to you, or those are aren't accurate. The rest you have to live with. Save your money on credit repair, because it doesn't exist. Check this article from the Federal Trade Commission Website, (Uncle Sam).
