Dispute Credit Card Charge, Comedy Club?
Bought tickets to a comedy show w/credit card. There were supposed to be 3 comedians (all of who were named on the website, and in other promotional materials), but only 2 performed. -------- Spoke to club manager after show, the manager at the club said the missing performer was delayed and she found out about it only 2 hours before show ... I bought my tickets only 1 hour before show, and was told by ticket seller that there would be 3 comedians. I told manager that it wasn't my fault the performer was delayed, I should get a full or at least a partial refund. She said too bad, you saw a show, we're keeping your money. My phone calls to the club manager have not been returned. ------- Would I be successful disputing this on the grounds that the promised performers did not perform?

- You could dispute it and pay more in legal fees than what the tickets cost. Tickets are like contracts, both parties enter into an agreement, they will provide entertainment, you will receive entertainment. Now there is no guarantee that they will provide what or how much, its just that once they do provide some form, and you show up to attend, then the contract is fulfilled. You just might have to swallow this one but let your friends know what happened and how unhappy you are.
- there are usually terms of agreement when you buy tickets, refunds are usually impossible but them giving you a raincheck for another show should be allowed since you will be drinking something. get your comedy club tickets to other clubs here... http://www.bigplaytickets.com/comedy.html
