Just starting Credit History - when does it change ?

Since about Aug 07 I have been working on establishing my credit history. I presently have 3 lines (gas, VISA & personal loan), all are being paid on time, but have not seen a change since starting out. How long does it take to see any improvement in my credit score?

  1. It takes time to establish a good credit history. Keep your accounts in good shape and in 6 months or so, after the inquiries and the new accounts start aging, you may see your scores start inching up. . When having no file or a thin file it takes longer to recover from inquiries and new accounts reporting than it would if you had existing accounts reporting in good standing. Keep your accounts in good standing and eventually you will come to see that new accounts will actually raise your scores instead of dropping them.
