how do i get a free credit report when I try it says that they cant confirm my identity.?
about 8 months ago I tried to get a free credit report with the three agencies. they were asking questions like you have a mortgage from which bank a, b, c, or d when i dont even have a mortgage so i put none of the above. they said i gave the wrong info and wouldnt give me my credit score. then i have been offline for all this time because of moving etc and now im online again and i tried it again and they said they cant confirm my idenitity and the others just say they cant process. does anyone know. I think i have idenity theft or something because the time a few months ago they said i had a credit card and i have never had a major credit card in my life dont even have any store cards now.

- If there’s an 800# on those sites, I suggest you call them and ask what you can do.
- a lot of times those questions aren't 100% accurate, they ended up asking me a question about my mortgage lender when I didn't have a mortgage yet... so they told me they couldn't process mine either. But, they will/should send you a letter with your report number on it so you can log on and view it that way. Just because you can't view it online through the questions doesn't mean there is something wrong with your credit. Just wait for the letter or call them and find out your report number. I've found the easiest people to deal with is annualcreditreport.com and it's 100% free, no signing up then canceling bs like freecreditreport.com. Hope this helps.
- Go through a different site now. I had that on my trans union because a creditor didnt report something to them.
- Also if you just moved it may be because your new address hasn't reported yet. Look for an 800# and call maybe if you talk to a real person they can figure out what's up.
