Credit Score, Good/Bad?
Ok I have one credit card with a limit of $500. I've had it since February 2007 and have been paying off bills fully and early every month. My credit score shows 723. Is this good/bad/alright? Also what do you do to raise your score? This is only an EXPERIAN rating from freecreditreports.com

- Thats good. Congrats! I'm at 674 and that's considered fair.
- you are doing pretty good starting out. just keep up the good work. my credit cards and i have quite a few are all about 10,000 credit limits. you will be there one day too.
- Its good. To raise your score try to keep a low balance, make your payments on time, and don't open a bunch of new accounts at a time. Try to use it only in emergencies, and if possible pay in full.
- Are you kidding me..That's great!!! Continue to do what you are doing ..paying bills off early and you will see your score increase quickly.Your credit card limit should increase to $1000 in a few months. They gave you that low amount to see how well you pay them.Furniture companies loans are the ones that increase your score quickly.Mostly loans but you gotta make sure it's an amount you can handle most of the time the loaner might try to offer you more money than what you asked for and that gets you in a bind. What it.But that is a good score.I think 900 is perfect you are like in the middle. You might can get a car with that score with a low down payment or no down payment.Good Luck!
- 723 is great. i am 824. I have experienced the same with like capital one & such. just ask for an increase in credit limit after 6 months of having the card. if they refuse, close the account. go to another card company. many times, if you ask for an increase and they refuse.. and you tell them to close the acct... they will say "well, hold on.. lemme get my supervisor on the phone." then they will do business... especially with a score as high as yours. best of luck to you. you are on the right track. please dont mess it up. - 723 is a good credit score. Any score behind 600 would considered a good risk for creditors. Check your credit history for anything derogatory, have a good cushion of available credit between your current balance and your credit limits, your average credit limit for your major credit cards is high and you have at least 2 or more open major credit cards on your credit report.
- your credit score is excellent meaning you have good credit score also do u have the website to where u signed up for the credit card
- Tami, if your FICO score is 723, give yourself a pat on the back. I think the max is 850 & the cutoff for primo bank offers is 715 if I recollect correctly. A credit score is a compilation of a number of factors: history of accounts, number of on time payments, the diversity of your accounts (major credit cards vs. less "desirable ones such as retail store cards) & the individual balances vs. your credit limit. In this case--as weird as it may seem--let's say you have $3000 in account balances. In one scenario, it is on ONE card with a credit limit of $4000 & the rest of your accounts are paid off. In another instance, let's say you have $500 owed with a credit limit of $2000, $1000 with a credit limit of $5000 & then $2500 with a credit limit of $10,000. For some reason, the second example--all things being equal--will bring a better credit score. The fact you asked the question shows an interest & perhaps an understanding of the importance of using credit wisely & if your score is accurate, you are off to a GREAT start! Best wishes!
- A score of 723 is very good. You should have no trouble obtaining credit. Here's a hint: use credit as a convenience, not a means to leverage your lifestyle/income.
- good...to go higher, get a fewmore credit cards in your name to raise the available credit to you. Since you wont use it, you will look much stronger financially...this process will take some time, though. there is a caveat, however...is this score from FICO or the new Advantage Plus score. if fico, then good....if AP, then average
- this is great and u should look at the other two score to see..
