credit cards?
Need to pay off some medical bills and would like to find some websites that offer credit cards to help finance that. Any suggestions? Ok, need it be said that it was the medical billing office that suggested I get money from friends and/or family to pay these debts? And since there are no rich relatives, then told me to apply for credit cards to pay off the bills in a more timely manner???

- You would be WAY better at calling the doctors/hospital administrators about your financial situation and work out a payment plan with them - many will forgive part of the bill. Then pay as you have agreed to. credit cards = poverty. I have never met a wealthy person that said they are rich because they used credit cards.
- Perhaps you could get a credit card with a zero percent initial interest rate. The guy above me has a very good plan, though. You can almost always work out a plan with the people you owe money to and you can negotiate the amount of the bill.
- Check with your state laws- places like NJ and PA have welfare system if if your not on welfare or think you won't qualify. They call it chip here and it's for children and adults who don't have health insurance. They may be able to help you and pay part of your bills if you need medical for health reason not for fake boobs or something like that.
- Taking on more debt (especially with credit cards) is NEVER an appropriate way to get out of debt. Call the folks you owe money to and work out a payment plan. Get a second job, cut your expenses to the bone (cancel the cable, etc.) and pay it off.
- look do not do it -- just tell the folks to keep paying the bills at the hospital and do not get a credit card -- they will pay a higher rate!!!!
