What should I do with my car? PLEASE HELP ME!!!?
I recently got a second hand car (Saab 900). I couldn't get a bank loan so I had to go though a finance company with very high interest rate (22%) has I was very desperate at the time for a car I went though with the finance. I’ve been trying to re-finance at other companies but because I have bad credit ratings it’s not possible. at one stage my car stuffed up on me so I brought it to da car dealer I brought it off and they installed a new clutch for me, every since then my car hasn't been the same..... So I brought my car to a Saab specialist and now they have told me that my car is in very bad shape and I need to spend like $5000 on repairs. I don’t know what to do, I have got like $16,000 left to pay and now I have to pay 5 grand just to fix it. Should I keep the car? Or get a new one? Please help me >.<'

- Get someone to steal it and write it off, as long as the book value is the same or higher than what u have to pay your ok. In the future be more careful when buying a used car, when it comes to buying and selling there's no such thing as a "nice guy" everyone is out to make money and they don't care if they screw you its all about #1, harsh but true.
- get full coverage insurance & wreck it but dont kill yourself in the prosess
- i own a repair shop, and what could cost 5 grand to repair on this car,,it cant be that bad that is going to take that much to repair it ,,id get another opinion on it,that's just way to much money to repair anything unless the engine is blown up in it,someone is trying to take advantage of you i think and a good second opinion would be good to have on that car,,good luck,i hope this help,s.
- I would look around to see if there is a cheaper and better repair shop and if i could not find one the i would get rid of the car. I hope this helps you.
- sounds like you were taken advantage of from the start. there are reputable mechanics to help you. fix things in order of importance. a lot of repairs are cosmetic. foreign cars are more expensive to repair but not that much. french cars are notorious for mechanical problems. i think you are stuck with a bad decision until you can get you finances in order.
- time to move on,let me say you got stuffed, try tradeing it in ,and get some thing that needs less work , aslo take some person that knows about cars, as for 22% can anyone afford these rates? ask nicely if they will come down a little, they just mite ? if all else fails tell them to keep the car its cheaper walking lol
- How long ago did ou buy it? You may have some legal recourse with dealer that sold it to you. Find another garage, - one that will acctually tell you the truth! (I agree with "Dodge Man" on this one). Something smells a little bit "off" on this one! Does the car drive at all right now?? If it does it probably isn't bad $5,000 worth!
- that's way too much money! look around for a better price i,ll fix it for you for way less than that JD.
