More news for you Toush?
Get this, International analysts have given a thumbs-down to Lebanon as a credit risk. The sagging ratings reflect the worsening foreign view of Lebanon. Lebanon posted the third-worst decline on the planet in Institutional Investor's semi-annual survey on the creditworthiness of 174 countries. International agencies such as the World Bank, commercial lenders and institutional investors use the rankings as benchmarks in comparing countries, and Lebanon's eroding position mirrors their declining opinion of the situation here. Now tell me if this is a good country to live in or visit or be proud to be linked to it ?? :-)) LOL Hambra, go to http://www.dailystar.com.lb/article.asp?edition_id=1&categ_id=3&article_id=80894 Kate, please do not forget that if western powers and a few Gulf states do not pitch in to help your country, your country will NEVER EVER get on it's feet by itself. Look what the Paris III Donated. Aussie, i say it with Sarcasm, and why not? ;-))

- Milo... I dont doubt about your words... but i really should like to read that report. can you please send me the link?? Thank you
- of course it's like that cuz of the last war in July...but we are getting up on our feet again and that's the beauty of it here in Lebanon...whatever happens and however the blow we receive is great we get back up without whinning and crying and we start over again and again and again...whatever it takes to get Lebanon back on top of the world where it belongs... and YES we are PROUD to be Lebanese and PROUD of our country the beautiful Lebanon. Thanks Milo for making pushing us everytime to prove to people like you that Lebanon is great and the Lebanese are proud.
- You say it as if you are pleased ! What's wrong with you ? Three guesses why International analysts would view it like this ....could it possibly have anything to do with what happened last June & the crazy politics recently ? Lebanon & its' people deserve better ....if you don't feel this way , why hang around...GO !
- As an Israeli of partial-Lebanese ancestry, I can't say that I am fond of Hezballah and its supporters in Lebanon, however, I think Lebanese have much to be proud of. It seems like a beautiful country, with a great history and tradition and with some of the best food anywhere. They are legendary for their business accumen. Lebanese food is some of the best that you'll find anywhere, trust me- I am well traveled and have yet to find any national cuisine that's better.
- Haha @ Aussie please excuse our ill manners, we should give every newcomer to this category a tour and most importantly an introduction to Milo. I have to warn you Aussie, this guy grows on you and we wouldn't want this forum without the entertainment he provides. Milo dear, one word: Duh!!! unless you spent the past year under a mushroom, any child could have predicted the above. you have denied your country regardless, but as far as I am concerned, this doesn't change anything. so to answer your question: yes this is still a good country to live, visit and be proud of!!
- why Toush? you know we all count on you to tell us how we are doing here... relish away my friend... your posting means that there are more people in the world going hungry and making it hard. If this is your source of LOL's it doesn't say much about you, does it?
- Well at least they think of us now :D
- GO get a LIFE!
- I just want to clarify my answer is nothing to do with anyone elses opinion. I will always stand by my word that Lebanon is my favourite country to visit. I was born and Raised in the UK and despite all your comments there is a down side to every country in the world and the way I see it, Lebanon isn't really one of them. The financial situation and economy situation may not be great, but if you are clever, and openminded enough, you can make your own paradise there, after all 75% of Lebanon is already a paradise. And in my opinion, I will always be proud to be linked to my country, and so should you, because its always going to be part of who you are, and if you are running away from that, then I think you should be taking a closer look at yourself, or as tradition and habit in america go see a shrink LOL Toushka
- YES!!! Even more than proud.
- Can i have the news, im not toush though, and you didnt piss me off last time
