How many incorrect/negative items can I dispute with the credit bureaus at one time? ...?

Should I use seperate letters and mail them all together with the copy of my credit report, or do I list all issues in same letter? Thanks.

  1. Send a separate letter to each credit bureau for each item you wish to dispute. Tell them that you feel that you feel that a specific item is incorrect. Thats all you need to tell them. Credit bureaus have 30 days to respond to you with verification that it is correct, or they must remove it. So if there is one item that you believe is wrong, send one letter to each credit bureau. If there are two items, send two letters, etc. Flood them with letters if you have to and be relentless. They will act quickly if you persist. Don't send a copy of your credit report. They already have it. Just tell them that a specific items is incorrect and let them work it out. One letter per issue. Its a lot of letters, but its worth the effort.
  2. you can dispute as many as you want. you can list all the issues in the same letter and fax or mail it to them ... send the letter to each bureaus though
  3. Include all items in one letter and send 3 letters - one to each credit bureau. -MM
