Free credit check from Equifax?

I want to know what my credit check score is from Equifax

  1. Just go to their website, which is www.equifax.com and either do it there, or call their 800 number and they will mail you a copy. However, you usually have to give a credit card and sign up for a trial of something, etc to get a "free" credit report. So make sure you cancel yourself out of whatever it will automatically sign you up for, or else you'll see yourself billed in a few months time.
  2. You can either call them and they will send you forms to fill out and send back and then they will send you a copy of your credit report or you can fill out the forms and pay a fee on line and they will send you a copy of your credit report.
  3. Yes, its actually a valid service. But like most advertising it is a little misleading. You can get a free credit score IF you sign up for their credit monitoring service for a period of 6 months@$14 a month. However, they will give you a free credit report, which will give you a fairly comprehensive view of your credit, and what creditors see. It will not give you your credit score. If you are interested, you can pay about 7 dollars and just get the credit score on a one time basis.
  4. Go to a car lot and ask to buy a cheap used car. They will tell you your score and then just decline the deal.
  5. http://ebooks.interkeys.com/money/repair_credit1 can provide you the major 3 reports and addresses + numbers tto call
  6. go to www.freecreditreport.com
