How long does it take to get bad credit? How long to repair it?

just curious how do u ruin ur credit and then get it back? do u ruin ur credit really fast or does take like a year or so. how long does it take to get back?

1. Pictue a glass window. t takes only seconds to screw it up, but could take forever to repair it.
2. Not paying bills on time lowers credit rating. Takes years and years to get credit rating back up. bad credit can remain for 7 or so years on your report.

6. Generally speaking, If you stop paying on a credit card, you have 30 days after the due date before the creditor can tag your credit. I believe the same is true for any loan secured or otherwise. Stop paying for 90 days, and expect collections to start. In the meantime, expect to be charged out the rump for late fees, default interest rates, regular phone calls at all hours of the day and night, and the like. Any single negative instance will put a cut in your credit. It takes only a few to make a bad dent. Restoring credit takes a heck of a lot longer than it took to get you there. Kinda like gaining weight. The instances will stay on your credit report for years and years, usually 7 to 10. Additionally, there's not a lot of motivation for those whom were disadvantaged, so you will have to regularly check and write and bug and pester to have items removed after their time period has expired. If you think you're going to be in a pickle, better to attempt to work it out than ignore it. You may have a bad mark or three, but it's a heck of a lot better than 3AM phone calls.
