Is credit repair legal in IL?

1. I would think it's legal in most states, however why would you want to go that way since credit repair is a scam...you can clean up your own record and all it will cost you is the postage.
2. I am not certain on the legal aspects, but there are legal ways to repair your credit. Suze Orman has a great credit repair system. There are agencies that you can hire to perform credit repair on your behalf. you could just do it yourself. it's not hard. Just get copies of all 3 credit reports and write letters to dispute inaccurate information. supporting documentation is very helpful.
