2. The average credit score is 692, so 683 is pretty average.
3. 683 is not too bad. It could be a little better, but depending on your income and assets, and mortgage history, you should qualify for most home loan programs. You should be able to easily finance a car as well. This score tells me that you might have had a couple late payments or maybe your credit card balances are too high or even maxed out. Stay current on your payments, especially your mortgage. NEVER NEVER NEVER make a late mortgage payment. Just one late payment on a mortgage not only drastically lowers your score, but it could disqualify you from some loan programs.
4. You will qualify for most loans that you apply for, but you will not get the best rate.
