Does divorce effect credit ratings?

3. Not if all debt is kept paid up. It can affect your ability to get a loan if income is less because of the divorce. And, it can kill your credit rating if you or ex-spouse defaults on bills. Make sure all bills get properly paid, no matter what.
4. Not usually unless their was a "joint" obligation that was in default. C/R's are on an individual basis.
5. Question: "...Does divorce effect credit ratings?..." Answer: Depends on how many 'credit accounts' were opened in BOTH of your names. If the answer is 0...then DIVORCE plays no part. If the answer is higher then 0, then the answer is yes and I know this as I'm divorced! :-)
