Credit Score?
I recently signed up for a Credit Expert account and after reviewing the credit report I realized some loans on there do not seem familiar to me and they are screwing up my score. Does anyone know how I can get the addresses for the creditors that are listed on the report? Since the reports dont contain full account numbers I cant just call the mother office and get info from there - for bank loans I need local offices who the loan was done through. Thanks for any help

- You sure can call the corporate office and not just a local. If the local claims you have money owed to them, then the local AND the corporate should have your info on file in a database. It is their job to direct you to the correct place to contact, especially if they want your money. You can file a dispute with them as well as the credit agency that reported the score.
- I don't know what credit expert is. The real credit bureau is Equifax. There are 2 more -- experian and trans union. But equifax is the most widely used when you ask for loan from bank or car dealer, etc etc If my equifax score is good, i'm satisfied and don't care about experian and trans union because my bank itself told me that they only use equifax to check my credit if i apply for loan. I noticed an unjustified claim against on equifax report and i filed a dispute on their website. After investigation, equifax removed the claim and my credit score increased to 711 from 682.
- either answer is great so rather than add i will just give eac a thumbs up and move on!!!!
- Hello, CreditExpert service will give you a confirmation number for your report and a phone number when you pull your credit score report. Even though you cannot see the full account number, you should be able to call CreditExpert and get a phone number for each account at the very least. You can then use your social security number, name and/or other identification techniques to look up those loans. Wrongly reported items on someone's report are a serious issue, they go against the FAIR act and someone at the bank should be paying attention. Also, you can put a fraud alert on your account through CreditExpert, and that way, no one can screw up your score as you will be alerted anytime something new gets reported. Good luck with your credit score.
