credit piggy backing?

I know the new laws will stop credit piggy backing after sept 1st, but if you are an actual co signer, not just an authorized user, will you be effected? Thanks in advance. I already am the co signer, just curious. Thanks

1. No you will not be effected by the change in the way credit scores are calculated if you are truly a co-signer or joint signer. This will only effect authorized users.
2. Yes, it will help your credit and it will not be affected by the laws...but the credit card company would run your credit because as a cosigner you are equally responsible for the debt...so it is unlikely if you have poor credit you would be able to be added as a cosigner.
