how long will take to improve my credit ?

Hard to beleive it.2 years ago I have bought a laptop.I have paid monhtly ,regulary for almost 2 years.During this time I have moved to a new address but I forgot to give to the creditor my new home address. After 2 years I tought is strange that I`m still paying for the laptop and I have suspected there is a fraud.I went to my bank and I have asked few times for the creditor details to contact them.the bank told me that they cant see any address and they suggested that I could cancell the direct debit and to wait for the creditor to contact me.I canceled and after 7 months I received a call from the collectors to pay.I have paid immediately but the effect on my credit score was devastading. I have lost almost 200 points & my credit report its shown a defaulted account ut satisfied. I dont have other delays on my payments or other problems. How long do u think will take to improve my credit? what is your advise? sorry for the language mistakes I`m a biginner. Thanks Thanks I live in uk

  1. Well, if you're in the United States, it could take a year or two of making on-time payments to your other accounts, to see a good improvement in your score.
  2. The older the collection gets the better your score will get. Each month should help since it is a satisfied debt. note this is in the US
