Credit cards?

I will be 18 soon will i get sent credit cards, my mate said i wont cause i dont have a job..? what card will i get sent?? i have a savings account and i dont know how to get a different account im with barycleys what should i gets?? and how do you get a solo card??? what are all these things??

1. First you need a job. Once you get a job you can apply online to some companies. Go to like capital one or orchard bank i think those are credit cards for people just starting out. Your limit will be low but it will help build up your credit. Just stay on time with the payments and dont over spend. Remember if your limit is 1,000 you want to stay under the 500 mark. Once you hit the half way point it brings down your credit. i know i work in a mortgage company and i have to review peoples credit all the time.
2. Don't get a credit card, save to pay with things with cash. If you feel for some reason you have to get a credit card never charge more than you can pay off in a month.
3. before you worry about cc and savings account get a job and than come back and talk!!!
